Students of the School of Global and Community Studies created a “taiken” pamphlet.
The students of the School of Global and Community Studies (GCS) have made a “taiken” pamphlet entitled, “FukuiXperience”.
“Taiken” means to experience something and in this pamphlet students introduced various traditional Japanese cultures that people can experience in Fukui. They made this pamphlet as a project for their Project-Based Learning course conducted in the spring and fall semester of 2018-2019.
Twenty-seven students including six international students were involved in this project. Seven groups of students visited different “taiken” spots, such as Echizen-washi (Japanese paper), Ishidajima-teori (Handwoven Fabric), and so on.
The pamphlet and website are available from the following link, and you can also get the pamphlet at those “taiken” places, hotels in Fukui, and Komatsu airport.
