Learn while you work

How will you change the world?

University of FUKUI
Professional Graduate School of
Global and Community Management

The Professional Graduate School
of Global and Community Management is a place
where you can study while working.

The students at our graduate school are primarily employees and staff working at companies and local governments. Given the increasing demand for skilled professionals to handle global and local projects and policies, we aim to train management leaders who can effectively guide future initiatives for businesses and local governments, emphasizing both global and local perspectives.

Why is it important to
learn while you work?

It is because you have actually faced challenges, barriers that seem insurmountable, and felt the need for further knowledge. This experience and awareness of issues in the real workplace will drive you towards great personal progress. Balancing theory and practice, meeting diverse colleagues and mentors, and collaborating with others provides additional benefits such as enhanced perspectives, knowledge, management skills, language skills, and communication skills.

Knowledge of Global
and Community Management

Connect and consider "community" and "global" aspects, which may seem like separate perspectives. When planning for a local community's future, we don't just address its specific problems. Instead, we generate real solutions by shifting between different perspectives. This skill is crucial for management leaders responsible for planning, proposing, and implementing public policies and business projects that adapt to global changes.

Curriculum

Classes are held primarily on weekday evenings (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and on Saturdays. The Overseas Training class is conducted as the core of our practical, specialized curriculum. Students compile a final report on their research topic along with a self-evaluation of their two years of study.
