Renew Your Learning With Team Fukudai

Dean Toshihiro Tsukihara

The Professional Graduate School of Global and Community Management at the University of Fukui was established in 2020 as a professional graduate school where you can learn while working. Our students are primarily employees and staff members from companies and local governments. This graduate school aims to cultivate management leaders who can approach future challenges at companies and local governments from a global perspective while focusing on regions like Fukui. This is based on the increasing need for individuals who can plan and execute business and policies from both a global and local perspective.

Classes are held on weekday evenings (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and Saturdays, allowing students to balance work and study. The curriculum covers subject areas such as (1) Local and Global Current Affairs and Issues, (2) Management Skills and Leadership Skills, and (3) Language and Communication Skills. Students can also select subjects relevant to their individual projects, explore issues through seminars and practicums such as business management workshop and overseas training, and compile the results of their overseas training into a final report.

The curriculum is distinctive for having small, diverse groups of incoming students with various skills, abilities, and backgrounds. This intimate learning environment fosters close interactions not only between students and faculty but also among students themselves, creating what we call Team Fukudai, a supportive network of students and faculty members. We invite you to renew your learning with Team Fukudai, where in a short period of study, you can achieve your learning goals while meeting and collaborating with new companions and mentors. We, the faculty, are committed to assisting you in your learning journey, offering our wisdom and support as you work and study hard.
